The top 10% of physical therapists earn $126,780 per year. Growth in demand for physical therapists is expected to be 18% between 2019 and 2029, over 4 times the national average.
Obviously, a physical therapist earning about $75,000 would have a lot of trouble paying back over $170,000 of student debt. These average numbers don’t show the DPT with $120,000 of debt but $110,000 of income. They also don’t illustrate the $280,000 debt carried by a physical therapist graduating from the most expensive institutions.

There are DO's out there that pull down 400,000 others make around 85,000. Same thing with PT (400,000 might be pushing it). You need to decide what you want to do with yourself.
